My Beginners Silver Course is a great introduction to making your own silver jewellery.
Developed for people new to jewellery making, this course takes you through a range of silver jewellery skills and builds each week with a variety of samples and completed pieces. All the tools and materials are provided so you just need to turn up ready to get creative!
Each of my classes have a small group of students to allow for plenty of questions and one to one attention. The great thing about the beginners course is being able to get to know your class mates over the course adding a lovely social aspect to the evening too.
We start with an introduction to tools and materials and make a start picking up some basic skills. We then move on to learning how to make a silver ring and a silver pendant of your own design. We will create a selection of earrings, studs, drops and beaded designs.
Our last couple of weeks will concentrate on learning how to add gemstones to your work creating a bezel setting for a round stone, you can chose which colour (choosing is normally the hardest part of the course!)
At the end of the course, you'll have a collection of beautiful jewellery, made by you! You'll have the skills to be able to continue at home if you wish and we'll discuss suppliers and tool kit necessities throughout the course.
